Mary Miers is an architectural historian, writer, and the Fine Arts and Books Editor at Country Life magazine, which celebrates its 120th anniversary this year. Before becoming a journalist, she worked for several architectural conservation charities and founded Scotland’s Buildings at Risk Register. She lives in the Highlands of Scotland, from where she commutes weekly by the Caledonian Sleeper (listen to Mary talking about this on Radio 4 here).
